Sep 02, 2008 · I do have to say however that you are missing out on the best fly fishing i have ever encountered. if you would have gone to the north fork of the buffalo you would completely forget the soda fork. however, it is about a 4 hour horseback ride one way, and usually needs to be an overnight trip.
Most Bighorn Mountain Lakes are open and fishing is good. Fly Fishermen should try Terrestrial patterns, especially Ants and Beetles. Small nymphs like Hare's Ears, Pheasant Tails, or Copper Johns are good bets. Spin Fishermen should try small Panther Martin or Mepps Spinners or Jake's Lures.
